課程目標 |
The students would have a solid knowledge of both the more and more important statistical programming language R and basic linear algebra, and therefore get well prepared for a graduate course in econometrics. |

課程要求 |
TOPICS:
Data Collection and Data Analysis, Statistical Modelling, Getting Started with R, Data Visualization Using R, Testing Model Assumptions, Correlation, Regression (if time allows);
Functions, Euclidean Spaces, Vector Spaces, Matrix Algebra, Trace, Inverse, Rank, Determinant, Systems of Linear Equations, Partitioned Matrices, Linear Transformations, Eigenvalues and Eigenvectors
GRADING: Mid-Term Exam: 30%. Final Exam: 30%. Homework and Class Participation: 40%.
